Lorenzo Lawson charged with assault in West Farms subway slashing

THE BRONX - Police have arrested the suspect wanted for a subway slashing in West Farms Monday. 

Authorities say 50-year-old Lorenzo Lawson attacked a 45-year-old man with a box cutter and then ran off at the 2 and 5 train stop on East 180th Street. 

Lawson is being charged with two felony counts of assault. 

The victim suffered several cuts to his face.
