THE BRONX - A string of tire thefts in Riverdale has left many drivers stuck in park.

Louis Rivera is one victim who says that four days after buying his brand new car, he found it propped up on two rocks with all four tires gone. It happened near his home on West 256th Street.

According to police, six similar thefts have been reported in the same area this year, and that number is actually down by 50 percent compared to 2012.

Rivera thinks that the decrease is attributed to fewer people reporting the crimes.

Anyone with information on these robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
