THE BRONX - Dozens of people gathered for a luncheon today to honor local leaders who have made Hispanic contributions in The Bronx.

The Bronx Chamber of Commerce event was held as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. Five people were recognized for their work toward the advancement of Latinos in the borough, as well as the rest of the country.

This is the second year the event has been held. Organizers say they hope to continue the tradition for years to come.
