Man accused of robbing BX boy released from jail

THE BRONX - A man accused of robbing a 9-year-old boy at a Belmont bodega has been released from jail. Police say 54-year-old Michael Johnson allegedly stole $19 from Jaky Saunders. However, prosecutors say they do not have enough proof to indict him. The judge has issued a temporary restraining order for the boy against Johnson. Johnson is due back in court in October.
