Man arrested for alleged DWI was city bus driver

THE BRONX - The MTA has confirmed that a 58-year-old man charged with driving while intoxicated in The Bronx this weekend was once a city bus driver.

Juan Carreras was arrested at East Tremont Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard Saturday morning. Officials say he had been terminated by the MTA earlier this year.

Police say Carreras has been arrested three times before, including an arrest for possessing 20 bags of crack cocaine and a hand gun.
