Man charged in 1993 Bronx murder

THE BRONX - A man has been formally charged for allegedly killing his girlfriend in The Bronx nearly two decades ago.

Angel Guridy, 52, was extradited from the Dominican Republic last week. According to investigators, he stabbed Alta-Gracia Valdez in 1993.

Police caught the former livery cab driver by following a forensic trail left at the crime scene.

Guridy faces up to life in prison if convicted.
