THE BRONX - Gunfire that erupted in Bedford Park early this morning has left one man dead, police say.

Investigators say the victim, a man in his 30s, was shot once in the chest near Bainbridge Avenue and East 198th Street at around 4:30 a.m.

According to officials, the victim was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

So far, no arrests have been made in the shooting. Anyone with information is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
