MELROSE - A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot at the Sheridan Deli last night in Melrose.

Police say the victim was shot in the arm just before 8 p.m. on Tinton Avenue near East 166th Street. Deli workers say they don't know the victim's name, but it's a Hispanic man in his 20s who lives nearby and comes in frequently.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he's now in stable condition.

Police are looking for three men in connection with the shooting. Some residents say the shooting happened after a fight broke out inside the deli.
