Man shot accidentally by cop says moment was 'frightening'

THE BRONX - An elderly man who was accidentally shot by a police officer says the moment was 'frightening' for him.

Jose Colon, 76, was shot when officers stormed into his home with a search warrant for his son. Officer Andrew McCormack's gun accidentally discharged during the raid and pierced through Colon's abdomen.

Now, Colon is seeking damages from the NYPD for $20 million.

Detective McCormack has been put on leave while the NYPD investigates the incident.
