THE BRONX - A 27-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being shot in the stomach.

Officials say it happened around 5 a.m. Saturday at the train station near White Plains Road and East 225th Street.

The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed. The victim is expected to survive.

Police are investigating what prompted the shooting.
