THE BRONX - The man accused of stealing $180,000 worth of bronze valuables from Saint Raymond's Cemetery is facing 11 criminal charges.

Luis Pudeto, 56, is facing charges including grand larceny and cemetery desecration in the first degree.

Court documents say that Pudeto confessed to officials. "Starting about two weeks ago, I started taking handles and vent covers," his statement said, according to police. "I took the grates. Yeah, they were brass. I sold them. I got about $200 for them."

Pudeto is also being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance for having a glass pipe with crack-cocaine residue on it when he was searched by authorities.

He is being held on $1,000 bail.
