Police say the suspect has robbed five women within the 49th Precinct, including a 93-year-old.

THE BRONX - Police are searching for a man who they say is targeting elderly women on a jewelry-snatching spree.

According to investigators, the suspect has struck five times within the 49th Precinct, including his oldest victim, a 93-year-old woman. That crime was caught on surveillance video in the middle of the afternoon on Lurting Avenue in Morris Park about two weeks ago.

In the most recent grand larceny, cops say the suspect approached a 61-year-old woman Monday, asked for directions and then grabbed the gold chain from around her neck. He fled the scene in an older model gray Sedan.

The man isn't only working alone. Police say he and an accomplice also stole the chain from the neck of a 71-year-old woman in another incident.

The suspect is described as a white man with short, dark hair. He's believed to be between 16 and 19 years old.
