Man wanted for attacking woman inside BX elevator

THE BRONX - Police are on the hunt for the man who attacked and robbed a woman inside a Co-op City apartment building yesterday morning.

According to cops, the suspect punched and kicked the victim several times in an elevator at 140 Donizzetti Pl. They say he then dragged the woman into a stairwell where she was robbed of her cell phone, jewelry and money.

The 55-year-old woman was released from the hospital after being treated for cuts to her face, bruises and a broken rib.

The NYPD says the suspect is about 35 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds.
