THE BRONX - Cops are searching for the man behind a violent robbery and subway slashing along the 4 line in The Bronx.

According to authorities, the suspect took headphones from a passenger on the East Burnside and Jerome avenues stop Friday afternoon. They say that when the victim tried to get them back, he was cut with a sharp object on the face and neck.

Many commuters say they worry headphones are a new target for thieves, especially since some spend hundreds of dollars on the electronic accessory.

The suspect, who was caught on surveillance video, is described as Hispanic, about 25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and between 210-240 pounds. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
