Man, woman shot in Morris Heights

A man and woman were shot Thursday afternoon by a man in Morris Heights. The incident occurred on Burnside Avenue at around 2:30 p.m.

THE BRONX - Police say a 67-year-old man and 26-year-old woman were shot Thursday afternoon by a man in Morris Heights.

The incident occurred on Burnside Avenue at around 2:30 p.m.

Witnesses say the two victims were not the man's intended target. Both victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and are expected to survive.

They say the man was shot once in the chest and once in the leg.

Police say the suspect fled in a Dodge Charger. No arrests have been made.
