THE BRONX - A Manhattan doctor has been arrested for allegedly selling painkiller prescriptions to an alleged drug dealer from The Bronx.

Authorities say Dr. Joseph Gibbs, a licensed internal medicine physician, was arrested at his office following an undercover sting operation. They say he wrote dozens of oxycodone prescriptions and sold them to 44-year-old Ronald Vaughn.

Vaughn was also arrested at his Bainridge Avenue home. Police say he ran a pyramid-style scheme selling pills that he obtained by using the forms from Gibbs.
