THE BRONX - Authorities are searching for two suspects who allegedly committed six robberies throughout the Bronx while impersonating police officers.

According to authorities, the suspects approach people flashing a silver shield, claiming to be police officers. Police say the suspects then rob their victims and take off, using a green minivan as their getaway vehicle.

Police describe one of the suspects as a Hispanic male, weighing about 180 pounds and standing at 5 feet 11 inches. The other suspect is a black male, 6 feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds.

Police urge residents to be aware of the two men pretending to be cops.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
