THE BRONX - A manhunt is under way in New Jersey for a Bronx man who escaped from police custody tonight.

Police say 27-year-old Jose Rodriguez was pulled over in Fort Lee, N.J. on an outstanding warrant. They say Rodriguez had been cuffed and shackled when he jumped into the front seat of a police car and sped off.
