THE BRONX - Days after Hurricane Irene made its presence felt in the borough, Con Edison officials say they've made great progress with restoring power in The Bronx.
Officials say that as of 10 p.m., more than 1,700 customers are still without power, with the greatest number of outages in the Riverdale area.
Meanwhile, officials have begun estimating the total damage caused by the storm is between $7 billion-$20 billion statewide.
