THE BRONX - Bronx residents Sunday participated in the borough's first-ever March for Babies.

Organizers say the walk from the March of Dimes is held to help prevent birth defects, premature births and infant mortality.

Hundreds of Bronx residents turned out for the walk despite Sunday's rain.
