THE BRONX - A business improvement district in the Bronx is celebrating the NHL Stadium Series at Yankee Stadium with a special statue of one the Yankees' finest.

Internationally renowned ice sculptor Shintaro Okamoto was hired to carve a 250-pound bust of retired Yankees closer Mariano Rivera.

Okamoto, a New York native, has carved ice sculptures for fashion shows, film premieres, product launches and sporting events, such as Sunday's. He was also hired to produce sculptures for the Grammy Awards Sunday night.
