Martin Luther King Jr. remembered with music

THE BRONX - Martin Luther King Jr. was honored Monday at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York City's largest celebration of his legacy.

The 24th Annual Brooklyn Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. included actor Danny Glover and featured music by the New Life Tabernacle Choir. Gov. Paterson welcomed hundreds of guests to the event.

Many said they were proud to attend an event honoring King's legacy during a time when the nation also has its first black president.

The free event also included a screening of the documentary "Soundtrack for a Revolution," produced by Danny Glover.
