THE BRONX - Police have put a man behind bars in the shooting death of a Bronx father of two.

According to authorities, 26-year-old Matthew Coleman, also of the Bronx, shot 29-year-old Eusebio Mendez in the head inside his Williamsbridge Road home last week.

According to neighbors, the victim's wife woke up to gunshots and found her husband on the floor. They say she and the couple's two daughters have since moved out of the apartment.

There is no word yet on the relationship between Coleman and Mendez.

Coleman has been charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
