Mayor: 52K residents to receive water bill credit

NEW YORK - Mayor Bill de Blasio is offering a $115 water bill credit to nearly 52,000 New York City residents as part of the Home Water Assistance Program.

The program is designed to help disabled, poor and elderly homeowners.

Those eligible for the program do not have to sign up to receive the credit. It will appear in their next bill.

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. said in part, "This is the type of help that Bronxites and residents all over the city need, especially during the holiday season.
