ORCHARD BEACH - Mayor Bill de Blasio met with beachgoers as he walked the boardwalk at Orchard Beach Sunday.

The meeting was an opportunity for the mayor to introduce his incoming NYPD commissioner, James O'Neill.

Many beachgoers said they were shocked to see the pair walking down the boardwalk, but said it is important for the officials to interact with the people of the Bronx.
