Mayor Michael Bloomberg announces New York City Build It Back program for Superstorm Sandy victims

THE BRONX - Mayor Michael Bloomberg has unveiled a new program to help Superstorm Sandy victims get back into a safe and sustainable home.

New York City Build It Back offers assistance to homeowners, renters, and landlords whose buildings were damaged during the late October storm. A housing recovery specialist will determine eligibility for the program once people register.

Funding for the program comes through the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
