NEW YORK - Miss New York has taken the Miss America crown for the second year in a row.

Nina Davuluri became the first Indian-American to win the pageant Sunday night.

The 24-year-old Syracuse native competed with the platform “celebrating diversity through cultural competency.” She said she's delighted that the competition has embraced diversity.

Miss California, Crystal Lee, was the runner-up.
