Missing Bronx man reunited with family

THE BRONX - A Bronx man with Alzheimer's disease who had been missing since last week is now back home with his family.

Emeterio Javier, 63, was last seen Thursday on his way to work at the family's liquor store. Security camera footage showed a disoriented Javier pacing in front of the store.

Javier's family says he spent the night walking outside in the cold weather before a Good Samaritan called an ambulance Friday afternoon. A nurse at Lincoln Hospital recognized Javier from a flyer and contacted the family.

Javier was discharged from the hospital today. His family members say doctors told them he can't be left by himself.
