Montefiore doctors back from mission in Haiti

THE BRONX - A team of medical professionals came back from Haiti on Jan. 24 after operating on more than 200 severely injured victims of the earthquake.

Led by Dr. Dominique Jan, the chief of pediatric surgery, the team also included an anesthesiologist, a trauma technician and a nurse. The team was one of few who were able to provide acute care needs using limited resources.

The team plans to return to Haiti to provide more services.
