Montefiore Medical Center faces major funding cuts

THE BRONX - A teaching hospital in the Bronx is facing some major cuts to its funding.

Montifiore Medical Center and two other hospitals in the city may see their Medicare funding slashed. Senator Adriano Espaillat is one of many state senators calling on the congretional delegation to oppose the cuts, which could cost the hospitals more than $1 billion.

Sen. Espiallat says losing the funding would be devastating and could hurt critical care.
