MORRIS HEIGHTS - A Bronx teenager pleaded not guilty today to charges he threw his 9-year-old neighbor off their Morris Heights apartment building.

Carmine Aska, 17, is facing attempted murder and assault charges among others. The teen's attorney says Aska did not intentionally push his neighbor, 9-year-old Freddy Martin, from the roof of their apartment building back in February.

Prosecutors say Martin told emergency responders that Aska dragged him up to the roof and threw him off. He was found unconscious near the building on Nelson Avenue.

Martin suffered a broken leg and arm, as well as internal bleeding.
