THE BRONX - Businesses along the west side of Morris Park are stepping up to keep their sidewalks clean.

Many of the sidewalks in the Bronx get regularly cleaned by the Ready, Willing and Able program funded by Sen. Jeff Klein. However, the program does not include the blocks near Morris Park.

The Bronx Business Alliance and Morris Park Business Alliance started the sidewalk cleaning pilot project with workers from Stargate Technology Learning Center. Business owners say the clean sidewalks attract customers.
