Morris Park group offering reward for car vandalism arrests

MORRIS PARK - A Bronx community association is offering a reward for the arrest of several Thanksgiving vandalism suspects.

Police say more than two dozen cars were vandalized in Morris Park on Thanksgiving morning. They confirmed that cars were broken into along Hone, Sacket, Van Nest and Lurting avenues, and that the windows were smashed, but nothing was stolen.

The Morris Park Community Association is providing a $1,000 reward for clues that will help track down the suspects.

"Small things happen and they could lead to bigger things," association member Johnny Sepeveda said. "We're trying to keep this area nice."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
