THE BRONX - Tenants of a Shakespeare Avenue building were finally allowed to return home today after being displaced by a fire earlier this month.

Residents had been spread across several city shelters after the fire department put up a vacate order following the discovery of several building violations during the Dec. 4 fire.

The Department of Buildings gave the OK for tenants after it says the landlord paid to have the violations fixed.
