Most Bronx streets finally plowed days after blizzard

THROGS NECK - While the blizzard may have struck days ago, many Bronx residents say only now are they finally able to get back to their normal routines.

Residents in Throgs Neck say that some streets only saw a snowplow for the first time Wednesday night, and while the city promised a quick response, they say they felt let down.

"We pay taxes just like anybody else, and we get pushed to the side, and it?s not fair," said John Vinciguerra.

While the streets may now be for the most part cleared, those driving in the area say the high piles of snow take away precious parking spaces and melting coupled with below-freezing overnight temperatures have residents worried about black ice forming.
