Mother in disbelief after son is run down

SOUNDVIEW - Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who they say killed a 17-year-old early Monday morning in Soundview.

Investigators say the driver was behind the wheel of a stolen 1996 green Honda. The owner of the vehicle is a Queens resident who reported his car stolen Sunday.

"I can't believe it - I want to believe it's not true," says Skeeter Nedd, the victim's mother.

Authorities say Keon Nedd was hit at White Plains Road and Seward Avenue just after 1 a.m.
