THE BRONX - Mother's Day is one of the busiest days of the year at the world-famous New York Botanical Garden.

A brand new attraction at the garden was getting a lot of attention today: the Native Plant Garden just opened about a week ago. It's full of plants that have been native to this region of the country for centuries.

"We have thousands of plants, and the turnout has been great,” says Jody Payne, curator of the Native Plant Garden.

The staff says the garden will be open year-round.
