MOUNT EDEN - The City of Light Christian Center will be closing its doors by the end of the month.

Pastor Colin Dunkley says the church's building was recently sold to a realty company, which wants to tear it down and build low-income apartments on the lot. The church also ran a food pantry out of the building, serving more than 200 people in the community. Last week, the church handed out its final meals to the needy.

The church has to be out of the building by Feb. 1. Parishioners are hoping it will be able to find a location close by.
