MTA plans overhaul of subway stations

THE BRONX - The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is planning a vast overhaul of subway stations across the city, some of which are in The Bronx.

The transit agency will put $445 million toward the renovations, which will include the Zerega Avenue and Castle Hill Avenue subway stations. Both stations are seen as being in major need of repair.

Plans for the renovations are expected to begin in the summer.
