THE BRONX - The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is restoring more than a dozen suspended bus routes, including a few in The Bronx.

The Bx13 bus line is now extending service between East 161st Street/Yankee Stadium to East 149th Street via River Avenue and will now connect to Gateway Mall. The Bx34 line will be restoring its weekend service and connecting to trains along these routes. The lines were eliminated in 2010 following budget cuts.

Commuters say they're relieved that more bus service will now be available, as it makes for quicker commutes and less time waiting in the cold for buses.
