MANHATTAN - MTA officials say heavy traffic on the Throgs Neck Bridge could linger as repairs continue from a fire earlier this month.

The bridge was damaged July 10 after officials say a construction worker's blowtorch ignited a fire that led to massive traffic jams.

Officials with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority say the bridge may not be fully repaired until Aug. 10.
