THE BRONX - The Metropolitan Transit Authority plans to announce Tuesday it will cut 450 station agent positions.

The agency also plans to cut approximately 600 administrative staff by summer and hundreds of newly hired bus drivers, according to published reports.

An MTA board member says the cuts were noted in the budget last year and could save $15 million.
