THE BRONX - The MTA worked directly with the Department of Sanitation to get all city trains and buses back on a normal schedule in the aftermath of the blizzard.

Spokesperson Kevin Ortiz says that the transit authority used the massive 2010 blizzard as a learning tool so that it was fully prepared to handle this storm.

The city's transit system operated throughout the blizzard with some service changes and disruptions, particularly on its bus lines.
