Muslim community, children happy after bin Laden death news

THE BRONX - Children and adults in the Muslim community in the Bronx say they are glad to hear news that Osama bin Laden is dead.

Students at the Islamic Cultural Center in Parkchester say the news of bin Laden?s death was welcome in their community. Many say they thanked God and hoped that the world would be safer now.

Founding principal of the school in the center, Sheikh Moussa Drammeh, says the acts of terror committed by bin Laden are not in keeping with the tenets of Islam.

Drammeh says the school teaches peace and tolerance. These are principles he says are the true meaning of Islam.
