THE BRONX - Some Bronx teens are working to turn a roof into a calm place for residents to spend their time. Forget the neighborhood parks, Bronx residents can find a peaceful environment on top of the Bronx Community Pride Center. Students from the New Explorers School are turning dead space into an inventive rooftop hangout. The students say the rooftop is a healthy environment with gardens, benches and fencing along the edge. The rooftop deck, which is open to the public, is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
