WILLIAMSBRIDGE - A woman's body was found floating in the Bronx River in Williamsbridge this morning, and the Medical Examiner's Officer is now trying to determine a cause of death.

The body was discovered around 9 a.m. near 224th Street and Bronx Boulevard. The NYPD's Crime Scene Unit is in the area looking for clues, and witnesses say they saw blood and a pair of woman's sandals nearby.

Police say the victim is a black woman in her 20s or 30s, but they have yet to release her name.
