THE BRONX - Residents of a Neill Avenue building are responding to a recent crime spurt by joining the NYPD's Clean Halls Program.

New signs posted by the 49th Precinct at 801 Neill Ave. warn trespassers to stay out of the building as police officers are now allowed to monitor the building's halls, stairwell and parking lot.

Because the building is private, officers are allowed to arrest anyone who doesn't belong there.
