HUNTS POINT - Police have arrested and charged two women in connection to the fatal stabbing of a man at a house party on Saturday.
Witnesses say the victim, 28-year-old Ronis Garcia, was having a party at his apartment on Bryant Avenue. During the party, witnesses say Nereline Santana and Carmen Puerto-Cruz got into a fist fight.
According to someone else who was at the party, one of the women grabbed a kitchen knife and Garcia intervened and tried to separate the two women. In doing so, Garcia was allegedly stabbed in the chest. Emergency crews pronounced Garcia dead at the scene after failing to revive him.

Santana was arraigned today and is facing charges of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Puerto-Cruz is facing charges of second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
