THE BRONX - The Bronx Museum of the Arts is exhibiting new artwork that includes a feel of Latin America, the Caribbean and even a piece taken out of space.

An installation called “Planetarium” uses common household items such as Q-tips, glue and tape to represent the cosmos. The piece was one of the works created for the U.S. Pavilion at the 2013 Venice Biennale.

The exhibition “Beyond the Supersquare” showcases the influence of modern Latin American and Caribbean architecture on art. A pavilion called "SuperPuesto" is being built in conjunction with the exhibit across the street at the Andrew Freedman Home.

“Planetarium” will be on display at the museum until Aug. 24, while “Beyond the Supersquare” doesn't come down until January. The pavilion at the Andrew Freedman Home is not on display yet, but will be ready by July 14.
