THE BRONX - A new surveillance camera is watching Pelham Bay Park to help cut down on crime.

Neighbors say the camera is needed because illegal activity including drugs and drinking occurs in the park. They also say transients sleep on the benches there. They hope the camera will make someone think twice before breaking the law.

The camera is on top of a building on Westchester Avenue.
